Junior High & High School Youth (7th-12th grade)
The St. Patrick's youth group for students in junior high and high school is called Rooted, because we hope for the young people of our parish to establish strong roots in Christ that will help them stay strong during life's challenges and live fruitful lives in His service.
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Sunday evening of the month (during the school year--the summer schedule is different). This year our meeting time will be typically 6:30-7:30 p.m., but with some variation. For example, when we do a bonfire and s'mores night we'll meet later so it can be dark outside, and sometimes for a service activity we might meet in the afternoon. Sometimes there'll be an activity on a different night of the week, such as the Girls' Night (in the fall) and Guys' Night (in the spring) that will both be on a Saturday, and the hockey game in January that will be on a Friday night.
2022-23 Activities Schedule coming soon!
During the winter for the past three years we have had a book club that meets virtually on Zoom once a month. (This keeps us from having to cancel due to winter weather issues, plus it's nice not to have to leave the house when it's cold out!). The book club is open to both youth and parents--something to do together!

Elementary Families Group
The St. Patrick's Elementary Families Group (EFG) is for kids in 3rd-6th grade and their families. Unlike the JH/HS youth group, the EFG does not have regularly scheduled meetings and it's not only for the kids. Instead, a few times per year we get together for fun family activities. Kids need to have at least one parent attending with them, but the whole family is invited if they're available.

The EFG helps run the annual Trunk Or Treat. This year it will be on Sunday, October 27th, 4-5 pm. Click here to see ways you can be a part of making this a fun afternoon for the kids of our parish!
We have recently started having quarterly LEGO Nights where families share a potluck dinner and then kids build with LEGO together, using pieces shared with us by a generous parishioner. When there's one coming up, you will be able to sign up here for what you're bringing.
Next LEGO Night Potluck will be in January, exact date TBD. Stay tuned!
The purpose of the EFG is to begin to build friendships among the 3rd-6th grade kids and also among their parents, bringing together families from both the English and Spanish speaking communities in our parish. For the kids, getting to know each other through the EFG can hopefully be a stepping stone toward participation in the older youth group, Rooted, in 7th grade.
To help build community outside of the official gatherings, there's also a Facebook group for parents. This is really what you as parents make of it--you can use it to share photos from a recent EFG event or to let people know you're going to the next one, and even to give or request suggestions on various parenting related things. Click on the link above to view the Facebook group, and if you're interested, go ahead and click request to join!
