Adoration

Hours needing weekly adorers as of 1/5/26

Adoration takes place in the Sacred Heart Chapel and features:

space for more adorers and families at the same time,
easier access for those with mobility issues, and
less noise and distractions when there is activity in the sacristy and near the tabernacle.

How do things work with this arrangement?

Adorers check in for their adoration hour on the iPad in its current location next to the library.
The monstrance is placed on the altar in the Sacred Heart Chapel facing the pews. It is removed for daily Mass and replaced when Mass is finished.
Veils are placed near the monstrance for use when needed (i.e., when no one is available to accompany the Blessed Sacrament).
Kneelers and chairs are placed on the floor in front of the altar.
The tabernacle remains where it is with the doors closed.
The Sacred Heart Chapel doors are unlocked from 6am to midnight.
The Northwest Door to and from the outside of the church building are unlocked from 6am to 9pm, with key swipe access after 9pm.
