World Priest Day-June 28

Please join our parish in celebrating World Priest Day this Friday, June 28.

We’re hosting a prayer drive June 23-30 asking parishioners to pray for our priests Fathers Rudy & Guillermo, and for an increase in vocations.

Additional prayer cards and books are available in the Narthex.   Sign-up sheets are on the kiosk, but not necessary.   Choose to pray on one day or all, one prayer or multiple prayers, for one priest or for many.  Please keep our priests in your prayers, especially during this time. Thank you!

And, during this special time, feel free to show your appreciation of their ministry with a card, if you wish!

We are encouraging all of our parish families to participate in this stewardship opportunity to share a gift of treasure ($) by giving from the heart to help us try to close our budget gap by using the 53rd Sunday envelope (available at the church entrance).

Please drop your envelope in the June 29-30 collection

No donation too small and each one much appreciated!

NOTE to Automatic Debit Families - There will be NO “automatic” additional 53rd Sunday transfer—families should use the envelope and submit through the collection basket.

As always, our Parish thanks you for your support!

The last weekend of the month is Pantry Sunday!

Donations of cereal, peanut butter, canned goods, toilet paper, fruit juice, diapers, non-perishables of all types welcome!  If you enjoy a particular food, so do the Food Bank shoppers:).

Bring your extra plastic or paper bags to donate, too!

1000 families are currently being served each month so all donations greatly appreciated by the CommUnity Crisis Services and Food Bank.

“Whatsoever you do to the last of my people, that you do unto me.” Matt 25:40.

The Northbrook Illinois St. Norbert Youth Group annually brings a crew of 60 high school students and 20 chaperones to help with local Habitat for Humanity projects.  They will once again use our lower level as their home-base from July 8-13.

Our Parish tradition is to provide them with a lasagna supper on their first evening here to show our support for their work they do in our city.

If you would like to help provide this meal to this missionary group, please sign up on the Kiosk!  Thank you for your support!

THANK YOU to Petra Isabel Mujica for helping Ed switch the new Missals last week and placing the Vocations Prayer cards in them.

Una promesa al discipulado - June 2019.pdf

Hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Romans 5:5-6
A Pledge for Modern Disciples

At Pentecost, we remember the gift of the Holy Spirit given to the first disciples and the early church. To modern Christians, the celebration of Pentecost provides a wonderful opportunity to examine how the Holy Spirit may be working within us and our lives, and to consider how we are living as Christ’s disciples. We are called to continue the same work of the first followers, with the same Holy Spirit.

Do you recognize the work of the Holy Spirit in your life? Are you aware of your role as a disciple? At Pentecost, you are invited to recommit yourself to living as a modern disciple.

Discipleship Pledge cards are attached for your convenience. Check out the suggestions for how you can grow in your relationship with Christ, increase yourknowledge of Christ, share your gifts, and broaden outreachChallenge yourself to new growth through one of the listed ideas, or come up with your own. Be bold!

Romanos 5:5-6

We will not be hosting Coffee and Donuts during the summer months, but plan to resume in September.

New Member Registration will continue to be held the first Sunday of the month in our PARLOR (next to the Main Office on the main floor).
