The Our Lady of Good Counsel Women’s Bible Study meets at St. Patrick on Thursday mornings from 9 - 10:30 a.m., during the school year. Women from all parishes participate. We spend time in fellowship and scripture study to build friendships, deepen our understanding of the Bible, and strengthen our relationship with God.

We are excited to explore Luke: The Story of Salvation Fulfilled during the 2026-27 year.

This study will take place from September 10 - November 5. Each week's lesson includes a 30-minute video and several workbook pages. The cost of the workbook and video access together is about $40 per participant. We will place a bulk order for books on August 15.

Hours needing weekly adorers as of 1/5/26

  • Monday - 6am, 6pm
  • Tuesday – 4pm, 5pm
  • Thursday - 3pm, 8pm
  • Friday – 5pm
  • Saturday  – 4pm, 6pm

Adoration takes place in the Sacred Heart Chapel and features:

  • space for more adorers and families at the same time,
  • easier access for those with mobility issues, and
  • less noise and distractions when there is activity in the sacristy and near the tabernacle.

How do things work with this arrangement?

  • Adorers check in for their adoration hour on the iPad in its current location next to the library.
  • The monstrance is placed on the altar in the Sacred Heart Chapel facing the pews. It is removed for daily Mass and replaced when Mass is finished.
  • Veils are placed near the monstrance for use when needed (i.e., when no one is available to accompany the Blessed Sacrament).
  • Kneelers and chairs are placed on the floor in front of the altar.
  • The tabernacle remains where it is with the doors closed.
  • The Sacred Heart Chapel doors are unlocked from 6am to midnight.
  • The Northwest Door to and from the outside of the church building are unlocked from 6am to 9pm, with key swipe access after 9pm.

Thank you for your continued commitment to faith and service of God and neighbor!

As of Friday, September 2, the “Day Chapel” (the chapel on the north side of the church, “behind” the Main Church) has been renamed the “Sacred Heart Chapel”.

After the tornado of 2006, which destroyed the old St. Patrick’s church, a statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was found in the rubble with its arms and hands damaged. It has since become a striking symbol of our call to participate as the hands and arms of Jesus Christ in this world. The statue will feature prominently in the Sacred Heart Chapel to point us to the love of God made manifest through the exposed heart of Jesus Christ. The hope is that renaming the chapel will help foster the Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
